Awareness workshop QA - Kashmir Division on 3rd Oct, 2017

  • Officers/ Officials from State Health Society.

Introduction: A One day Awareness workshop was conducted in the Banquet Hall, Srinagar on 3rd of October, 2017 under the chairmanship of Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K. The inaugural session was chaired by Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, J&K.
MD, NHM, J&K while welcoming the participants thanked NHSRC, New Delhi for their support in organizing the workshop in Kashmir Division. He said that lot has been done in terms of infrastructure building, manpower & service provision in health sector under NHM, which has led to many fold improvement in healthcare indicators and other relevant services being delivered in the Public health institutions, however, the quality of services being delivered still remains an issue.
Principal Secretary, HME Deptt directed the officers of health Department to follow the Standard Operating Protocols and processes in letter and spirit for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at public health facilities which will also in turn help public health facilities to attain National Quality Standards pertaining to cleanliness. He asked the participants to work with zeal & dedication on improving cleanliness in the public health facilities which is the mandate of the Quality Assurance, Kayakalp & Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Experts from National Health System Resource Centre (NHSRC), MoHFW, GoI, New Delhi, Dr Parminder Gautam, Senior Consultant NHSRC,MOH&FW GOI and Dr Sushant Aggarwal, Consultant NHSRC,MOH&FW GoI, through detailed power point presentations oriented the participants about various aspects of Quality Assurance and Kayakalp.

Presentation on roadmap for National Quality Assurance Programme (NQAP), Kayakalp and Swachh Swasth Sarvatra (SSS) in the State was given by Dr. Narinder Bhatial, State Nodal Officer, Quality Assurance NHM, J&K.
