Commissioner/ Secretary Health & Medical Education briefed about State Programme Implementation Plan 2015-16 by team from Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare at Jammu

Jammu, January 21;The team from Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare which had arrived in Jammu on three days visit to facilitate the finalization of State Programme Implementation Plan (SPIP) of National Health Mission, J&K for the FY 2015-16 today conducted debriefing meeting with Mr. Gazzanfer Hussain, Commissioner/ Secretary to Govt. Health & Medical Education department at Civil Secretariat, Jammu today.

During the meeting team from Union Government appreciated State Health Society for timely preparation of State Programme Implementation Plan for the next FY 2015-16 and suggested some changes for incorporation in the SPIP which included additional plan for Quality Assurance in Health Sector, reduction in plan of Disease Control Programmes, streamlining of procurement system and functioning of 102 ambulance services.

Mr Gazzanfer Hussain assured the team that the plan of State for the next FY shall be submitted to Govt. of India before the stipulated time of 31st January 2015 after making the necessary changes as suggested by the team.

The meeting was attended by Capt. Ms Kapil Chaudhary, Team Leader MoH&FW, GoI;  Dr Yashpal Sharma, Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K; Sh Padam Khanna, Sr. Consultant NHSRC; Dr Nitasha Kaur, Sr Consultant Moh&FW, Ms. Mona Gupta, TSA and other senior officers from State Health Society & directorate of ISM, J&K.
